Enjoy the silence: Lacuna Coil

Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil

Cannot listen to enough of this band right now.

PANIC!: The Ballad of Mona Lisa

Panic!at the Disco have always had infectious, catchy songs. Brendan Urie's voice just has that melodic quality that keeps you humming well after the song has played.

A Fever you can't Sweat out, 'emo or not' only idiot's pigeon-hole band's into silly genre's. Bottom line is, for a début album at least, this showcased the talent and potential still yet to progress.

Pretty. Odd, pretty much in the title there. I remember listening to this once all the way through, then not really thinking much, it wasn't until  a few days later I found myself humming certain tunes in my head and not knowing what the hell they were from. Then it wasn't until it flicked back on through my iTunes library that it all fell into place,..

The Ballad of Mona Lisa is very reminiscent to their first album, which can only mean good things. Fast, catchy, hooky? Vices & Virtues is something to look forward to.

Talking about reminiscent, is it just me or is the next wave of music going back to its roots? [Rival Scools, Green Day, hell even Duran Duran are trying to kick up a bit of the 80's]

KIRIN ICHIBAN

Beer at its PUREST

C-OI!

Finally started saving [not buying random tech] and made a start on my sleeve. It's a traditional Japanese Coy piece with traditional waves, lotus and cherry blossoms.

Now this one has taken me years to decide, half of that time on actually who was going to do it, but I made my mind upon a guy called Matt Hunt who tattoo's and co-owns Modern Body Art in Birmingham.

First 3 hours and the outline is on, first 40 minutes taken to make sure the stencil was correctly placed, which can only go to show Matt's level of perfection.

Next 3 hour session start of May as I'm in NYC next month, more updates to follow,..

and Japan's nuclear problem's could be solved with a few dozen Picachu's,...

God be with everyone over there at this time.

THE WIFEY'S BOOK: Kat Von D

Was always keen to pick up this book. I'm a huge fan of her work [and she's hot as hell, like seriously] and finally got to see this up close at W.H Smiths.

Extremely well put together journal, Smith's asking price of £29.99 on the other hand was a joke [thank you Amazon £9.99].

Did I mention I've just started a tattoo sleeve?
