Remember the gameboy micro? If I wasn't such a fan I doubt I would either, it was released just prior to the Nintendo DS's launch in an attempt to shift as many GBA title's as possible.
Skip forward to the present and Ninty have dumped a whole bucket of resources and money into another incarnation of its Wii, for another attempt to shift as much software titles as possible in time for the festive season.
So what's different? and more importantly is it even necessary?
By the looks it'l be a horizontal console this time, with a few inches shaved off, which means goodbye to GameCube support [major bummer]. The motion plus controller is now included as standard.
So who in their right mind will by this? I guess you've got your dedicated hoarders of tech who'l want to add it to their collection, other than that, given the consoles sales, is there anyone left on this planet who hasn't already owned it?
Unless they release some pretty amazing software over the next coming months do they really expect the public to buy into the re-release when WII-U is looming over, and a second hand Wii can be found for a little as £50 these days,......who knows.
