PIYO-CHAN: Yakuza 3

A small and fat Piyo Chan, beginners luck maybe

Why has it taken me so long to pick up Yakuza 3? I'd heard of it countless times with people always mentioning to drop 'Shenmue' into the same sentance.

I'll have to add that Shenmue is one of my all time highly rated game's and one the best experiences I've had playing a video game, so maybe this was why I seemed hesitant to pick up this game [and also the previous 2 before it].

So far so good. Amazing cut-scenes and a story line I'm still delving into, stumbling into Club Sega was a pleasant surprise, but hey if you're gonna borrow references from past games, why not do it from the best?

I guess Shenmue at least taught me one thing, and that was that I didn't want to work in the dock's a fork-lift  driver, but hey you can't deny the morning race's were worth waking up for!

CUTE: Did I really just say that?

THE LAST GREAT SYMBIAN: Nokia E71

In the wake of all these latest smartphone's that can control your entire life or even help you build a rocket to orbit Uranus [maybe not just yet] I decided to pull out my old Nokia E71.

This was my choice of phone about 3 years ago, and is one of nicest phones I've had the pleasure of using. What surprised me when viewing it now, in light of all these new wave of phones is just how smart and sophisticated the design really was on this device.

A sleek, thin form factor composed of stainless steel makes this device feel that little more special when in your hand.

I was never a fan on the Symbian platform, the applications and integration, whilst worked fine always had that sluggish and dated feel to it. Comparing against today's tech though, I really don't see why it can't hold its own. Replaced and slightly bettered by the E72, this featured mail on the go, wifi bluetooth and 3.5G, a comfortable qwerty keypad, an adequate 3.2mp camera with flash and a front facing VGA camera for video calling. It blows my mind how its taken Apple this long to integrate this feature.

E71, you were [are] awesome

SWEDEN: Never tasted so good

THE DARK KNIGHT: Wants his iPhone case back

I've decided to upgrade to the iPhone 4, I say upgrade, I already own a HTC Desire. The desire is one of the best phone's I've came across, but that's for another post.

Seeing the retina display and HD video playback in action, with the addition of better battery performance sealed the deal for me.

But, and this is a big but, the free bumper is adequate and all, but I absolutely hate rubber/silicone based cases. For one they hug your pocket and secondly always manage to attract every bit of dust/fibre going. Oh and it also leaves the entire back exposed, which is a no no.

<oh I'm also slightly crazy on keeping my tech spotless>

So after searching [a lot of researching] I hunted down 'Capsule Rebel, for iPhone 4]

The Batman inspired build would usually be enough to seal the deal for me, added the excellent addition of accessories bundled with it makes it a steal at £24.99
  • 2 x Anti static Membranes [back and screen protectors]
  • 2 x Universal dock adapters [white and black]
  • Video stand
  • 2 x Headphone jack and 2 x Connector adapters
Also shock proof, oh and did I say it looks like something straight from Gotham City?

I HEART BOOBIES

No further subject needed. Buying my billionth pair of Macbeth's <Matthew editions> and supporting a great charity,

Give some here BOOBIES

SUZI: It's official

It's official, Suzi Perry love's me...

Or at least sends her love for when we opened up the store back in November, I kinda bottled it when being introduced to her, nothing changes eh?

Valentines tomorrow? Oh well, new series of the gadget show? ITS A DATE

RECORDED TWICE: That's What I'm Talking About

Very rarely does a sequel capture the epicness of the original <cough><Terminator 2, Aliens, The Rescuers Down Under><cough> but I might go as far to say that Rec2 does just that.

Without ruining anything, if you've seen the first of the franchise, and no I'm not talking about the hideous American attempt then you'l be familiarised with this sequel as it is set 15 minutes after the outside loses contact with everyone including the camera crew <and the hottie Manuela Velasco <3> .

So the atmosphere captured in the original may be somewhat diluted, but trust me when I say the new direction and story is far superior, which for me makes this one of the best, delayed viewed title's I've seen this year.

YOUTH: In your pocket Nintendo

Sometimes I need to remind myself that I'm 26 this year.

SLEEP: I've always been a fan

Why is it I know lots of people who seem to live off these energy drinks to get them through the day? Yet if I try one my stomach goes into over-drive and all hell breaks out. Rockstar my arse, unless being one these days involves playing gig's in the toilet.

Oh, and I'm terrible at sleeping too, so I guess I'll have to rely on my over thinking brain to spark up any energy.

Even Donkey Kong has given up banana's for a boost, but it wouldn't be a stretch to assume Diddy has helped him out with this jungle juice.

WEIGHT LOSS: Stick's to make you a stick

So I might of lied, eat plenty of these and not only will you constipate yourself for a good few days, but you'l also find yourself out of pocket. This being due to the fact these are the imported version of 'Mikado', <Poundland represent>.

Not the best way to spend your money seeing as you can get the same kind of product for a pound, but dammit look at the cute Japanese kitties on the inner wrapper <did I mention I'm vain?>

NEW TATTOO: This isn't Miami Ink

Booked in next week to start work on a full sleeve design on my arm. Being a traditionalist <a simpleton> and a love for all and everything Asian, minus scat, I'm going with a coy design, with the usual bells and whistles.

So what's the message or meaning behind this?, what does it all symbolise? How about sweet fuck all except a few coincidences. Maybe the artwork style just looks fucking amazing and works great as a tattoo piece.

p.s, I actually have symbolic tattoo's elsewhere, oops

YIKES: Regan, or should I say Pazuzu possessing my iPad

Rather reluctantly deciding to spend more money on my iPad, in the form of a gel sleeve by Case Mate (also the brand I use on my desire) and a Philips screen protector.

Handy tip, the Philips is on sale at Clas Ohlson <representing the company> usually £14.99 to a respectable £8.99 in the sale.

The verdict? The case mate is flawless, the monkey at the Apple store recommended a big ass leather file-o-fax type case at purchase, which in all fairness is great for protecting the device, but really isn't quite practical, and by practical I mean practical in showing off the sleekness of the device, yes,...I'm vain.
